Seems WND.com's Joseph Farah is a little concerned about False Shepards:

We Americans are being thoroughly indoctrinated by the mass media, the government schools, the propaganda arms of the federal government and the pseudoscience-government complex on the phony issue of global warming.

Now, if all that is not enough, some significant church leaders are attempting to make the global, pagan, socialistic agenda behind the conspiracy a matter of faith.

If it exists, which is highly questionable, it certainly wasn't caused by man and there is nothing mankind can do about it. If it doesn't exist, which is probable, these charlatans are going to rob you blind paying for it any way.

An unspoken tenent behind the theory of global warming, is that God didn't really know what he was doing during creation. After all, we're about to destroy the planet.

No, I think GOD made it so it would last as long as HE needed it.
(More bad news for you enviro-wackos: the earth IS going to be destroyed. GOD tells us that in HIS Word. But in HIS time, not ours.)

That's basically all you need to know about global warming. It's a bunch of hot air, all right – hot air generated by people whose goal is always the same, redistributing wealth and reordering civilization.

Now I expect this sort of thing from Al Gore. The man is a liar. That's what he does for a living. And he has done well for himself in purposely, knowingly deceiving people in his quest for a global utopia run by his puppeteers, whoever they may be.

But Rick Warren, author of "The Purpose-Driven Life"?

Todd Bassett, national commander of the Salvation Army?

Leith Anderson, former president of the National Association of Evangelicals?

That's right. Those are just three of the Christian luminaries who signed on to this pact with the globalist devil – who sold their American birthrights for a mess of political correctness.

Joining them in this scam are World Vision President Rich Stearns, Wheaton College President Duane Litfin, Christianity Today Editor David Neff and Executive Editor Timothy George.

They all signed on to the "Climate Change: An Evangelical Call to Action" – and climbed into bed with funding sources that hate God, hate Christianity and hate freedom. Among them, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund – a group determined to bring the world under the yoke of global government and global religion.

But I guess none of this should really surprise us. After all, just a month ago, Rick Warren was quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer as indicting Christian fundamentalism as a moral and spiritual equivalent of Islamic fundamentalism.

"Muslim fundamentalism, Christian fundamentalism, Jewish fundamentalism, secular fundamentalism – they're all motivated by fear," he said. "Fear of each other."

Well...I never heard that last little tidbit!
Thats enough that every true Christian should have nothing to do with him.

More Idiots

A poll released today shows 70 percent of American evangelical Christians see global warming as a "serious threat" to the future of the planet.

Conducted by Ellison Research, the survey indicates a majority of evangelicals agree with 85 Christian leaders who signed an Evangelical Climate Initiative unveiled Feb. 8 that calls for government action to deal with so-called global warming. The initiative includes a campaign of newspaper, TV and radio ads.

I wish someone had asked these same poll questions a number of months ago, before all this nonsense with the so-called Evangelical Climate Initiative began.

My gut reaction is that it would have been much lower. I think what we are seeing is the lemmings following their big-name "Christian" leaders.
"Oh, if Rick Warren is for this, it must be good and right."

Morons.
No where in the Bible does Jesus say big government is the answer. The only people he instructs to do ANYTHING are Israel and / or the Church.
In fact, He most commonly ignores secular government.
Also, for those of you that have actually READ the Bible, you will recall that Big Government is who GOD and the Saints battle in the Book of Revelation.

Aside from the fact that there is no independent evidence that global warming is actually occurring! The only scientists that are saying it are the ones dependent on government for their paycheck.
In addition, all the Evironmental Chicken Littles, 20 years ago, were warning of a coming Ice Age. Now which is it?

The Bible tells us that in the Last Days there will be False Shepards.
In my opinion the 85 "leaders" that signed this, just exposed themselves.

In the near future, when the government tries to implant a chip into your hand or forehead, how many of these "leaders" will tell us, "No, that isn't REALLY the Mark of the Beast. Its for your benefit."
And how many "Christians" will go along with them?

I will try to find a list of who signed this thing and post it.
My suggestion: RUN from these people and have nothing to do with their ministries.

Scalia Cracks Me Up

In a speech Monday sponsored by the conservative Federalist Society, Scalia defended his long-held belief in sticking to the plain text of the Constitution "as it was originally written and intended."

"Scalia does have a philosophy, it's called originalism," he said. "That's what prevents him from doing the things he would like to do," he told more than 100 politicians and lawyers from this U.S. island territory.

According to his judicial philosophy, he said, there can be no room for personal, political or religious beliefs.

Scalia criticized those who believe in what he called the "living Constitution."

"That's the argument of flexibility and it goes something like this: The Constitution is over 200 years old and societies change. It has to change with society, like a living organism, or it will become brittle and break."

"But you would have to be an idiot to believe that," Scalia said. "The Constitution is not a living organism, it is a legal document. It says something and doesn't say other things."

Couldn't have said it better myself!

I've been thinking about Joel Stein and all those like him, who have nothing favorable to say about those who serve in our military.

Needless to say, they annoy the crap out of me.

Writing on the Wall

The United States military announced yesterday that it would convert some of its largest ballistic nuclear missiles to carry conventional warheads for use in precision attacks against terrorist targets or rogue states.
The report stated briefly that the navy would convert "a small number of Trident submarine-launched ballistic missiles for use in conventional prompt global strike".
The new generation of satellite-controlled ballistic missiles can deliver large warheads with devastating accuracy even when deployed with a conventional warhead.

In what appears to be a thinly disguised threat, Global George feels he can bring Iran into submission via a shower of Trident missles to take out their nuclear development program. No great surprise on the strategy, since many have been saying that we don't have the troop strength to engage in simultaneous ground wars in Iraq AND Iran.

We shall see.
I have a queasy feeling that the Law of Unintended Consequences will once again rear its ugly head.

The So-Called War

Americans need to be treated like convicted criminals and have all aspects of their life, person and activities open to inspection, all to prevent terrorist attacks.
We need to have a post-9/11 mindset, we're told. The world just isn't the same anymore.

Then explain this one, from DEBKA.com, for me.

After a series of muddled statements and zigzags, wishful thinking prevailed in London and Brussels after all. The European Union, led by the Middle East Quartet, agreed to release financial aid to a Palestinian government taken over by a terrorist organization.

“We give them three months to assess the situation. We don’t want chaos and we want to go on with the peace process,” said EU foreign executive, Javier Solana at the end of the foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels Monday, 30 Jan.

Hamas, which is responsible for at least 60 bombing attacks on Israelis and countless deaths, did not have to fight too hard or too long for a reversal of the short-lived boycott on funding, sparked by its election victory over Fatah with 74 seats in the 132 Palestinian Legislative Council.

The Islamist terrorists were not required to give up a single principle for the sake of Western aid.
The stakes are high. The EU gave the PA $615 million last year. The US had budgeted $234 for 2006.

$849 MILLION freakin' dollars from the people who are supposedly FIGHTING terrorism!!??!
All set to go into the hands of Hamas.

There are only two options here:
1) Politicians are BIGGER idiots than I ever imagined (that would take some doing) or

She appeared in a video with her youngest boy, Mohammed, 17, telling him not to return alive from a suicide mission. Now she is a democratically elected Hamas member of the Palestinian Legislative Council.
"Encouraging my sons to be martyrs is serving Islam," she said through her fourth son, Wesam, 33, who says that, like his fellow "Mujahideen", he considers "martyrdom the way to liberation".

When you all going to figure out this is not the WWE?

Preview of Iraq??

Global George worked SO hard to bring freedom and democracy to the Palestinians.
He got those mean Jews to give back some of the land they rightly won.
And he brought that grand panacea, "free elections" to the Palestinians.
And what do we get? This:

Hamas, a terrorist group responsible for more than 100 suicide bombings and scores of shooting and rocket attacks, won overwhelmingly in yesterday's Palestinian parliamentary elections and will form the next government, according to initial ballot results released this morning.

Now that the nuts are running the asylum in Gaza and the West Bank, how long before the same happens in Iraq?

Do They Give ANYONE a Column??

When you read an opinion piece in a major American newspaper, you at least expect the author to have a basic working knowledge of the subject of which they write. Automotive guys should have a basic understanding of cars, yet need not be well versed in chassis dynamics. Medical writers should have foundational knowledge of physiology, biochemistry and anatomy.
However, when we get to politics, all bets are off. Fifth grade social studies is not even a prerequisite.

Take, for example, Joel Stein's piece of excrement in the LA Times entitled "Warriors and Wusses".

And I've got no problem with other people — the ones who were for the Iraq war — supporting the troops. If you think invading Iraq was a good idea, then by all means, support away.
But I'm not for the war. And being against the war and saying you support the troops is one of the wussiest positions the pacifists have ever taken — and they're wussy by definition.
Blindly lending support to our soldiers, I fear, will keep them overseas longer by giving soft acquiescence to the hawks who sent them there — and who might one day want to send them somewhere else.

Uh, Joel...it wasn't the soldiers who decided to go to Iraq. They were sent there by the guys you and your ilk elected, Republican AND Democrat. And the soldiers have no say in how long they will be there. You're a little confused here about who makes the policy.

Besides, those little yellow ribbons aren't really for the troops. They need body armor, shorter stays and a USO show by the cast of "Laguna Beach."
The real purpose of those ribbons is to ease some of the guilt we feel for voting to send them to war and then making absolutely no sacrifices other than enduring two Wolf Blitzer shows a day. Though there should be a ribbon for that.

True, the ribbons are stupid and actually do nothing for the troops. You should take the money you were going to waste on ribbons and send it to the USO, or some other military charity.
On the other hand, I checked with a number of friends who vote regularly, and none of us can remember a ballot question, "Should we send troops to war?" Again, you're a little confused about who makes policy decisions.

I do sympathize with people who joined up to protect our country, especially after 9/11, and were tricked into fighting in Iraq.

Those Saudis, they sure fooled us!! Making us think they flew planes into the World Trade Center!!! Haha!

And just what do you think "supporting" the soldiers means? They are doing a job...a job that requires, at times, great sacrifice and is done many times under difficult circumstances. But you know what? They knew this going in and they accepted the challenge anyway. They realized that life is not all about them. Is it too much to ask to show them some kindness? You don't have to like what they are doing. I imagine that at times some of them don't like it either.
If you see a soldier on the street, just say "Thanks for your sacrifice." Doesn't mean you agree with the policy, but that you recognize that they are putting everything they have on the line. Here's an idea! If you meet one in a 7-11, go crazy and spend a buck and pay for that soda he's buying!

Global George has done a disservice to many by portraying this as a war against Iraq. It is much greater than that. It is a war against radical Islam, which THEY declared. This is probably the only war in the past 100 years in which the threat to the US is real. Be mad about Vietnam. Debate involvement in WWII or Korea. But don't give up on this one unless you want to be praying toward the east a few times a day.

The Unreported Story

By now, those of you with at least a minimum of contact with the outside world have heard that Osama bin Laden has released another audio tape, this one promising furhter attacks on US soil.
If you are really lucky, your news source has even reported that "Sammy" bin Laden has offered a truce (but no terms were set forth).
Unfortunately, that's where the story stops for most.

Doesn't it seem odd to you that if the terrorists are winning the war, as our beloved media tries to portray, that they are beginning to float "truce" trial baloons?
What gives?

Robert Spencer, over at JihadWatch.org gives us some insight:

In Islamic theology traditionally the forces of jihad ask for a truce when they are weak and need to gather strength. Hmmmm.

ADDENDUM: I have been asked to provide details of the truce in Islamic law. Here is a passage from Umdat al-Salik (Reliance of the Traveller), a Shafi'i Sharia manual endorsed by Al-Azhar University in Cairo as conforming to the "practice and faith of the orthodox Sunni community":

Truces are permissible, not obligatory....Interests that justify making a truce are such things as Muslim weakness because of lack of numbers or materiel, or the hope of an enemy becoming Muslim...If the Muslims are weak, a truce made be made for ten years if necessary, for the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) made a truce with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud....The rulings of such a truce are inferable from those of the non-Muslim poll tax; namely, that when a valid truce has been effected, no harm may be done to non-Muslims until it expires. -- Umdat al-Salik, o9.16

Maybe, just maybe, something positive will come out of this mess.

The U.S. Treasury Department today announced federal income and expenditure figures for December, showing government spending hit a record high and Washington took in even more than it spent.

The $230.9 billion spent was an all-time high for a single month. That figure represented a 5.6 percent increase over the spending level in December 2004.

AP reported through the first three months of the current budget year, which began on Oct. 1, government tax receipts have totaled $530.2 billion, up 8.8 percent from the same period a year ago. During the same three months, the federal government has spent $649.52 billion, a 7.2 percent increase from the same period a year ago.

This should remove any remaining vapor of a suggestion that George Bush is a conservative.

And don't bother telling me that Congress authorizes all spending.

Its All in the Physics

We are supposed to take as gospel, scientific theories which are completely unreproducable (ie. evolution).

But along comes a BYU physics professor, who I'm sure, is going to undergo character assassination the likes of which we haven't seen for a long time. His "crime"? He dare question the "Official Story".

The physics of 9/11 — including how fast and symmetrically one of the World Trade Center buildings fell — prove that official explanations of the collapses are wrong, says a Brigham Young University physics professor.
In fact, it's likely that there were "pre-positioned explosives" in all three buildings at ground zero, says Steven E. Jones.
In a paper posted online Tuesday and accepted for peer-reviewed publication next year, Jones adds his voice to those of previous skeptics, including the authors of the Web site www.wtc7.net, whose research Jones quotes. Jones' article can be found at www.physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html.

"It is quite plausible that explosives were pre-planted in all three (WTC) buildings," BYU physics professor Steven E. Jones says.
Jones, who conducts research in fusion and solar energy at BYU, is calling for an independent, international scientific investigation "guided not by politicized notions and constraints but rather by observations and calculations.

Have you ever thought something in passing, only to see the same theory show up in an article somewhere?
This article reminded me of some things I thought on 9/11:
1) Gee, that building going down looks just like when they demolish one intentionally.
2) If they were trying to do maximum damage by crashing planes into a building, why didn't they try to hit a lower floor? They could have gone into a steep dive, instead of flying level.

In a 9,000-word article that Jones says will be published in the book "The Hidden History of 9/11," by Elsevier, Jones offers these arguments:

• The three buildings collapsed nearly symmetrically, falling down into their footprints, a phenomenon associated with "controlled demolition" — and even then it's very difficult, he says. "Why would terrorists undertake straight-down collapses of WTC-7 and the Towers when 'toppling over' falls would require much less work and would do much more damage in downtown Manhattan?" Jones asks. "And where would they obtain the necessary skills and access to the buildings for a symmetrical implosion anyway? The 'symmetry data' emphasized here, along with other data, provide strong evidence for an 'inside' job."

• No steel-frame building, before or after the WTC buildings, has ever collapsed due to fire. But explosives can effectively sever steel columns, he says.

• WTC 7, which was not hit by hijacked planes, collapsed in 6.6 seconds, just .6 of a second longer than it would take an object dropped from the roof to hit the ground. "Where is the delay that must be expected due to conservation of momentum, one of the foundational laws of physics?" he asks. "That is, as upper-falling floors strike lower floors — and intact steel support columns — the fall must be significantly impeded by the impacted mass. . . . How do the upper floors fall so quickly, then, and still conserve momentum in the collapsing buildings?" The paradox, he says, "is easily resolved by the explosive demolition hypothesis, whereby explosives quickly removed lower-floor material, including steel support columns, and allow near free-fall-speed collapses." These observations were not analyzed by FEMA, NIST nor the 9/11 Commission, he says.

• With non-explosive-caused collapse there would typically be a piling up of shattering concrete. But most of the material in the towers was converted to flour-like powder while the buildings were falling, he says. "How can we understand this strange behavior, without explosives? Remarkable, amazing — and demanding scrutiny since the U.S. government-funded reports failed to analyze this phenomenon."

• Horizontal puffs of smoke, known as squibs, were observed proceeding up the side the building, a phenomenon common when pre-positioned explosives are used to demolish buildings, he says.

• Steel supports were "partly evaporated," but it would require temperatures near 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit to evaporate steel — and neither office materials nor diesel fuel can generate temperatures that hot. Fires caused by jet fuel from the hijacked planes lasted at most a few minutes, and office material fires would burn out within about 20 minutes in any given location, he says.

• Molten metal found in the debris of the World Trade Center may have been the result of a high-temperature reaction of a commonly used explosive such as thermite, he says. Buildings not felled by explosives "have insufficient directed energy to result in melting of large quantities of metal," Jones says.

• Multiple loud explosions in rapid sequence were reported by numerous observers in and near the towers, and these explosions occurred far below the region where the planes struck, he says.

Jones says he became interested in the physics of the WTC collapse after attending a talk last spring given by a woman who had had a near-death experience. The woman mentioned in passing that "if you think the World Trade Center buildings came down just due to fire, you have a lot of surprises ahead of you," Jones remembers, at which point "everyone around me started applauding."
Following several months of study, he presented his findings at a talk at BYU in September.
Jones says he would like the government to release 6,899 photographs and 6,977 segments of video footage for "independent scrutiny." He would also like to analyze a small sample of the molten metal found at Ground Zero.

Thanks, Prof. Jones for having the guts to put out in the public forum what many have been thinking.
The book sounds like a worth while read, but I'm afraid the scientific investigation will go no where.
After all, we can't go around questioning the god of government.

Intellectual Voters

I was surfing around reviewing the results of some of yesterdays elections/votes when I came across this beauty.
Seems the geniuses of Sarasota County, Florida, voted to increase their own taxes and enable the county government to go $250 million deeper into debt (by a margin of 4 -1!), all for the sake of a few parks!

Here's the punchline: They asked one of the supporters of this proposal why he voted for it.

William Montavon and Cheryl Wilson, who cast their votes at the Municipal Auditorium, pointed to the condos going up just across the street from the voting precinct as reason enough to support continuing the tax.

"I voted yes for both points because we need parks," Montavon said. "Just look around you. Sarasota used to be a great town, but now if you're not a developer or making more than $50,000 it sucks for you because you can't afford to live here."

By following his train of thought (however derailed it may be), the only conclusion I can come to is that he 1) thinks housing will become more affordable if he has less money in his pocket, or 2) he is planning on moving into one of these new parks.

There should be a test to demonstrate understanding of the Constitution and our founding principles before someone is issued a Voter ID card. Or at least basic math skills.

Dale Carnegie Wanted

You allege to be a spokesman for what is arguably the most persecuted group of people in history (at least in terms of duration of persecution).
For 4000 years, countries have hated you.
Armies have tried to wipe you out of existence.
Current regimes want to see your country eliminated from the face of the globe.

Attack the group that is most defensive of you!

Institutionalized Christianity in the U.S. has grown so extremist that it poses a tangible danger to the principle of separation of church and state and threatens to undermine the religious tolerance that characterizes the country, the national director of the Anti-Defamation League, Abraham Foxman, warned in his address to the League's national commission, meeting in New York City over the weekend.

First off, Abe, there is NO SEPARATION of CHURCH and STATE in the Constitution. Read it and let me know where you find it.

Secondly, Christianity is a product of Judaism (Remember that Carpenter from Nazareth, Jesus? He was Jewish, as were ALL the writers of the New Testament). If the roots are the same, how can the goals be that far apart? Unless, of course, you have totally abandoned your Jewish heritage and are just another mouthpiece for the Secular Humanist movement.

Reading, 'riting and WHAT??

If you ever doubted that your childern were considered property of the State, and on loan to you until the state deemed it necessary to take possession, read this.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled yesterday against parents who sued their local school district after their elementary-age children were given a sexually charged survey, saying there is "no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children."

The three-judge panel of the full court further ruled that parents "have no due process or privacy right to override the determinations of public schools as to the information to which their children will be exposed while enrolled as students."

The lower court had ruled against the parents, saying the right "to control the upbringing of their children by introducing them to matters of and relating to sex in accordance with their personal and religious values and beliefs" does not rise to the level of a fundamental right protected by substantive due process.

Translated: Your control over the upbringing of your childern is granted as long as it is consistent with the goals and desires of the State.

RUN, do not walk, to your local public school and withdraw your childern.

Any parent who leaves their child in the State-sponsered Indoctrination System, is no better than a child abuser.

Is it any wonder why home schooling is growing by leaps and bounds?

Joseph Farah, Editor of WND, has finally admitted to the folly of his ways.

I should not have pulled the lever for George W. Bush and I should never have urged others to do so.

Even my wife, who coaxed me to break my vow never to support a candidate who doesn't honor the Constitution, agrees now it was a mistake.

I lost my head. I was not true to the promise in my own book, "Taking America Back," just out in paperback, to avoid supporting the lesser of two evils, to avoid making insidious compromises in electoral politics, to avoid, at all costs, supporting politicians who do not understand and abide by the Constitution.

I didn't support Bush in 2000 for precisely this reason. Asked what he would do if faced with congressional legislation that was clearly unconstitutional, I heard candidate Bush answer with these words, which I shall never forget: "How will I know if a law is unconstitutional?"

On the basis of that remark alone, it should surprise no one that Bush has been a massive failure as president.

You've gotta like someone who says I was wrong, and will hopefully learn from his mistake.

Note how he let emotion dictate his response, instead of principle. BIG Mistake. Living life based on emotion will ALWAYS get you in trouble.

Principles never fail.

Iraqi Constitution

"In the name of God, the most merciful, the most compassionate," begins the preamble. "We have honored the sons of Adam. We are the people of the land between two rivers, the homeland of the apostles and prophets, abode of the virtuous imams, pioneers of civilization, crafters of writing and cradle of numeration. Upon our land the first law made by man was passed, the most ancient just pact for homelands policy was inscribed, and upon our soil, companions of the Prophet and saints prayed, philosophers and scientists theorized and writers and poets excelled."

Section 1, Article 2 states: "Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation."

Seeing no contradiction between the principles of democracy and the principles of Islam, that statement is followed up by the following two provisions:

* "No law that contradicts the established provisions of Islam may be established."

* "No law that contradicts the principles of democracy may be established."

The thing that bugs me is the number of alleged "churches" that hold "Fall Festivals".
All these are is an attempt to sanitize Halloween. The reason? "Oh, we don't want our kids to feel like they're missing out on something."

Missing out on a lousy free bar of candy?!!???
Yeah, I guess if they don't get a Reese Cup, they'll grow up to be another Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer.

If you can't teach your kid to resist a bar of candy when they are 5, how in God's Name do you expect them to learn to resist some sweet young thing that comes their way in high school or college?

All these Fall Festivals do is postpone Parents' Reckoning Day, when they may actually have to parent.
